WHAT IS THE TRAVELLING HAIR ARTIST & WHO ARE THEY GEARED TO?
The Travelling Hair Artist is friendly service providing mobile hair services to seniors in Toronto. I specialize in Senior hair care in homes and Retirement communities.
This service is reserved for senior clients only please.
WHY DOES IT SAY REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT?
Due to the nature of the services being provided as well as being provided in the clients home, all appointment requests are subject to approval.

HOW EXPERIENCED IS THE STYLIST?
I (Chelsea) have been in the hair Industry for over 10 years professionally.
I am full trained, licensed and experienced in working with the elderly.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE ?
Absolutely nothing! Just call to book your hair appointment for yourself or your loved one and I'll do the rest. I bring everything needed for the appointments and clean up my mess too! If you require a bedside service for any reason that is no problem. I can cut hair while you lay comfortable in bed!
HOW DO YOU SHAMPOO ?
I have many different methods to make sure your hair is clean no matter the situation! whether you are fully mobile, in a wheel chair or bedridden. As long as there is running water!
DO YOU DO NAILS AND ESTHETICIAN SERVICES
Unfortunately, only hair services are provided.
HOW LONG IS A SERVICE?
An average haircut Service is about 45 min - 1 hour.
DO I NEED TO BE AT THE SERVICE FOR MY LOVED ONE?
Nope! There is no need to worry if you can't be there. If you have any special instructions - just let me know at time of booking!
WHAT HOSPITALS DO YOU TRAVEL TO?
Services are no longer offered in Hospitals at this time.

WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICE HOURS & WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO CALL?
The Travelling Hair Artist is open Monday - Thursday,
between 8:30 am - 3 pm.
No weekends or evenings.
Please be aware that I book the appointments as well as provide the services. If I do not answer, I am with a client and will return any messages as soon as I can. You may also follow up with an email by contacting me through the contact form on the contact/hours page.
If you do not receive a call back - I am not accepting clients.
Otherwise you will hear from me.
DO YOU EXCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
Yes! I except VISA, MasterCard, Interact E-Transfer or cash.
I am happy to announce that I can process credit cards on site with a safe and secure system called Square. Square makes it easy to take payments securely on the go!
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Verbal and physical aggressive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. I reserve the right to refuse and permanently ban any client who exibits this type of unexceptable behaviour. Due to the nature of the service provided I reserve the right to refuse any client for any reason that leaves the stylist uneasy.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL
In the event that the stylist is sick, all scheduled appointments will be rescheduled to avoid spreading illness. Please show the same respect for myself and my clients that may become severely ill if in contact with a cold or flu and cancel your appointment if you are in the first 5 days of a cold or flu.
Please note for hospital appointments- appointments will be declined if the client is in isolation ie. stylist must gown down to enter room. If you or the client have any contagious bacterial infections, appointments will be declined until infection is cleared. Again I provide services to a vulnerable clientele who could become severely ill if exposed to such ailments.
I reserve the right to refuse service that could compromise the safety of myself or other clients and the service will not be performed. A 100% charge will result in appointments scheduled with failure to report contagious/infectious illness.

FIRM CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the nature of the services provided, there is a firm 24 hour cancellation policy. Appointments cancelled 24-12 hours before scheduled appointment will result in a 50% charge of service. Last minute cancellations will result in a 100% charge of the service scheduled. Should The stylist arrive to a scheduled appointment and the client refuses service, there will be a 100% charge. Please respect these policies as appointment times are reserved especially for you. Last minute cancellations or refusal of services mean another waitlist client is missing out and a loss of income and valuable time for the stylist. Please call well in advanced of your scheduled appointment to cancel.

It has been a long few months without seeing your lovely faces. We hope to see you all soon.
A few updates that I would like to share with you are as follows:
We have always followed strict sanitation guidelines, so this is nothing new to us. (ex: clean tools, 70% alcohol, barbicide, clean towels/ capes, etc...) However, we will be wearing reusable &/or disposable face masks at all appointments as per the public health guidelines. We ask that ALL clients and family/care workers wear a mask while we provide services to protect everyone. We will be offering disposable facemasks to clients that do not have one. We thank you for your understanding on this matter. Along with frequent handwashing, we will have hand sanitizer on hand for both stylist and client during the service.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to provide services in these facilities until further notice. We hope to see your faces when its is safe to do so.
We will NOT be accepting new clients until further notice.
If you are an existing client, please disregard this.
COLOR SERVICES: We will no longer be offering colour services.
HOSPITAL SERVICES: We will no longer be providing services in hospitals.
